Obituary for Lillian Parkhurst

Lillian  Parkhurst
Lillian Lil Parkhurst, 87, of Camillus, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Born in Belgium, New York on Sunday, October 27, 1918, she was the daughter of Franklin and Leafa Bell. She lived in Baldwinsville until moving to Camillus in 1954.

Lil served as an integral part of the volunteer secretarial service at Community-General Hospital for two years and was a former volunteer for Meals On Wheels. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and former judge for flower and table arrangements at the NYS Fair. She was also a member of several bridge clubs and enjoyed gardening.

Lil's husband, Robert J. Parkie Parkhurst, died April 6, 2003.

Surviving are her nieces, Susan Pavlat and Kathy Griffin; cousin Betty Wood; and Karen and Jim Marco of Camillus, who were like a daughter and son to Lil and their children, Nicholas and Christian, who were godsons of Lil.
A prayer and remembrance service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, New York on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 10 a.m.
