Heather, Debbie, James: We are still shocked to have learned of your terrible loss. The condolences being sent to you by so many show that Ryan touched many people in such positive ways. For us, Ryan was " the smiling little blonde guy" growing up down the road from us; the boy who was so polite and friendly if we ran into him on our " exercise" walks. He always brightened up the day even when he was that young. And of course for us, it was most obvious that he was Heather's brother as they walked home each day from the bus. They seemed to always be looking after each other and caring for each other. These are the wonderful memories that Ryan (& Heather) made possible. Dear James, Deb and Heather, We were saddened to hear of Ryan's untimely death. There can't be anything more devastating then the loss of a child or brother. We have many fond memories of Ryan-by-the-road as our children would call him. He loved to fish, swim and enjoy the lake so much; there were many times too that he had the wonderful job of dog retrieving when Buster escaped the families backyard. We never minded the visits. Ryan was a polite and respectful young person. You should be very proud of him. We hope Ryan's gentle nature and youthfulness warm your hearts now and in the many years to come. I remember going to the laundromat (of all places) with Ryan and a dear friend Crystal Grant (his girlfriend at the time) and having a blast! We were laughing, joking and having a great time! At one point Crystal and I had climbed into a dryer together and Ryan snapped some pictures of us!! The lady who lived upstairs tried giving us trouble but we couldnt help but laugh even more! Great memory, that will last forever! We all miss you Ryan! You will never be forgotten! xo

I will always remember the winter I came up to Minden Debbie, Ryan, Heather and I went to the school yard to ride down hills on nordic racer (3 ski sit on things). Ryan was driving, he was 8 or 9 and the little devil headed directly for the biggest bump on the hill. We both went flying off and laughed our asses off. Miss you Buddy....Uncey Scott

I remember when Heather came to me for advice. It was an arguement her and her brother had. Heather had caught a girlfriend cheating and as any good sister would do she told her brother. He was soooo mad at her for interfering. She came to me and asked me what she should do. I laughed at her and said, my dear, he is your brother..he will not stay mad at you for long. By the next hour that had gone by Ryan had come to see his sister and within five minutes all was well as it should be between brother and sister that love each other that much.
